Yours Truly

My name is Rachel. It's not the best name but it's the one I was given at birth. If I could choose my own name I would probably call myself Veronica, or something foreign like Anastasia. That's how I feel now anyways, 15 years ago I probably would have tried to change it to Nahla or Princess Gwenevere. But I'm Rachel. I sometimes feel like changing the way its spelled, you know, to dress it up a bit. Like Rachell, Raccel, or Racjhel. I always wished I had a silent letter in my name, or a pretentious Italian "ch" sound with two cc's.

I like to dress things up, that's what makes me an observational pageantrist. If you have never heard of that don't bother googling it because I made it up. Observational pageantry is about watching the world and making observations then dressing them up and parading them around. I find life to be ceremoniously theatrical. 

I get wildly enthusiastic about photography, historical fiction, my cat, hot sauce and shopping. I blog because it makes me feel better, I've been keeping a diary since the day after my 8th birthday and have used this method of release ever since.
